I am currently a junior in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in
October 2004 and took the Spring semester off for 4 cycles of chemotherapy, and 4 weeks of radiation. From the time of my
diagnosis I began running almost religiously, entering event after event. No matter how sick I got, I had to get outside and
just run. It became my way of psychologically beating the cancer. The day before my last treatment of chemotherapy I ran my
first half marathon. I ran a second one 2 weeks into my radiation and even placed 3rd in it. Now I have set my sights on running
my first marathon as early as October 2005 (fitting month I think)!
